Pentaqua Supports Antibullying Week
As a club we have a zero tolerance on bullying. Incidences of bullying reported to an adult, coach, teacher or the Welfare Officer will be investigated and those who are guilty of bullying will be disciplined as per the club’s disciplinary policy. As a club we can, and will, expel anyone who is found to be guilty of bullying.
At Pentaqua we would also like to remind everyone that by being indifferent and not reporting instances of suspected bullying you may be inadvertently encouraging unacceptable behaviour. We would like everyone to adopt a “zero indifference” approach.
If you are being bullied, please let an adult you trust know. All information shared will be treated in confidence, and the ASA’s Safeguarding policy( http://www.swimming.org )observed at all times. If you do not feel able to talk to anyone in the club, perhaps a parent, school teacher can help?
If not, then you can call any of the numbers below who have trained counsellors to whom you can speak in confidence about the situation:
Swimline 0808 100 4001 Child Line 0800 1111 NSPCC Helpline 0808 800 5000

Everyone has a right to participate in sport in an enjoyable and safe environment and to be treated with respect by all involved. Please do not let the bullies get away with it.
