City of Lincoln Pentaqua Swimming Club is a family friendly, competitive swimming club led by Pauline Gourley, Head Coach. Pauline's extensive experience includes: Head Coach for the East Midlands' Regional Development Programme; Skills Coach Swim England Phase 1 and 2 Programmes; worked alongside GB coaches at swim camps; and one of only three female swimming coaches on the UK Sport and England Programmes 'Women into High Performance Coaching Programme'.
Pauline is supported by a volunteer coaching team all of whom are DBS checked, and Swim England qualified. They receive support, training and mentoring throughout their volunteering.
In addition the club provides opportunities for individuals to become involved in all aspects of a competitive swimming club, with officiating, Team Management and administration opportunities available to all. If you are interested in becoming involved with the club in any capacity, please use the form on the Contact Us page to get in touch.
Photos of our team are available in the Gallery page of this website.
Our Learn to Swim Academy, led by a team of self-employed, professional experienced swimming teachers who are DBS checked and Swim England qualified, provides opportunities for individuals interested in learning more about the role of a swimming teacher to volunteer gaining experience. Often these volunteers are young people undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh Awards who make a valuable contribution to the learning of the swimmers in the pool, as well as gain good experience for their D of E Award, and CVs.
